Introduction
This is a one-day refresher of our full Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course.
Passing this course renews your SSSTS certificate. It updates your knowledge of your responsibilities for site safety, health, welfare and the environment.
You must complete this refresher before your certificate expires or you will need to re-take the full course. This is one of the ranges of Site Safety Plus courses.
All 7.5 hours must be attended and a multiple-choice question test is the chosen exam format.
Course Outline
This course has been designed to cover the following areas:
- How health and safety law is structured
- How the supervisory role fits in with the manager’s role in controlling the site safely
- Understanding the need for method statements
- Construction Site Health, Safety and Welfare
- Communication routes within site activity
- Behavioural safety
- Supervision of occupational health
On Completion
Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a renewed CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certificate valid for another five years.
Who Should Attend?
This course should be attended by team leaders, foremen, gangers, first line managers and supervisors with supervisory responsibilities who have already sat and passed their SSSTS course

What do you have to do to pass?
Full attendance is essential, and candidates will be expected to participate. Continual assessment will take place during the course with candidates required to pass a multiple-choice assessment at the end of the course.
