Course Outline

This course has been designed to cover the following areas:

  • Roles and Responsibilities of a First Aider
    Understanding legal duties, record keeping, and incident reporting.

  • Assessing an Incident
    Scene safety, casualty assessment, and prioritisation.

  • Unresponsive Casualty (CPR & Recovery Position)
    Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and using the recovery position.

  • Choking Casualties
    Recognising and treating choking in adults and children.

  • Bleeding and Wounds
    Managing external bleeding, applying bandages and treating shock.

  • Minor Injuries and Burns
    First aid for small cuts, grazes, minor burns, and scalds.

  • Seizures and Shock
    Identifying and managing seizures and symptoms of shock.

On Completion

  • Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF-accredited)

  • Digital and hard copy certificate (valid for 3 years)

  • Hands-on, practical training with real-life scenarios
