James Fellows, a learner from the first cohort of individuals in our UKSPF North Warwickshire Bootcamp, recently returned to the academy, and it was a pleasure to welcome him back. Since his time training with us, he has gained employment with Hercules as an apprentice groundworker
During his visit, we were happy to offer additional support by providing him with the opportunity to re-sit his Location and Avoidance exam. This was an important step in allowing him to gain his StreetWorks card, an essential qualification for progressing in the construction industry.
James has always stood out as a particularly driven and motivated individual. Even during his time in Bootcamp, it was clear that his passion for returning to the construction industry was unwavering. Out of the entire cohort, he demonstrated remarkable dedication and a strong desire to succeed.
Since completing the 10-day course, James has made significant progress in his career. He is now working as a Groundworks Apprentice on the drainage team at Fosse Way, employed by Hercules Site Services. This role marks an exciting new chapter for James, where he is gaining valuable hands-on experience and further build his skills in the field.
James has shared how grateful he is for the training provided by Hercules Construction Academy, highlighting how the knowledge and skills he gained there have played a crucial role in boosting his confidence. This newfound confidence has enabled him to return to the construction industry and pursue his apprenticeship with renewed motivation and determination.
During his recent conversation with us, James expressed his intention to continue his journey of professional development. He mentioned that he plans to return to the academy for additional courses to further his career progression in construction. His enthusiasm for continued learning and growth is truly inspiring, and we look forward to supporting him as he advances in his career.
We’re incredibly proud of James and all that he has achieved so far, and we are excited to see where his journey will take him next. His story is a testament to the impact that training, determination, and the right support can have on an individual’s success.
